Fairy Tale and Super Hero dress-up round up! {#StreamTeam}

Thank you to Netflix for sponsoring this post!
My kids have been loving to play dress up lately.  Their play times go in phases - some times it's playing with blocks/legos, some times it is coloring or doing puzzles, now it is dressing up and pretending to be in a fairy tale or super hero story.
So I have a round up for you with super easy dress-up DIY's!

For Girls:

For Boys:

We love having Netflix and the fact that there are no commericals is the best!  Our favorite shows to watch this month are:

The new Netflix Original Series: Ever After High:
I have to say that this is a pretty cute show.  It is about the kids of our fairy tale heroes... Apple White is the daughter of Snow White, Ashlyn Ella  is the daughter of Cinderella, Sparrow Hood is the son of Robin Hood and so on.  There is some clever writing in this one!

My son loves the new Richie Rich (Another Netflix Original Series)

It is an updated version of the one that was out when I was a kid and it is pretty cute too.

Totally Easy Stuffed Dog House DIY! {#streamteam}

Thank you to Netflix for sponsoring this post!
My kids are dog lovers.  They love it when we see a dog when we are out and about.  My 1.5 year old L-O-V-E-S puppies.  When we went trick-or-treating for Halloween, he did not even care about the candy, he was looking for a puppy at the door.  But with three young kids, I don't have time for a real dog, so stuffed puppies is what we get at our house.
My kids love to play with their stuffed puppies, they take them on walks, carry them around, feed them.  So, it was time for them to have their own home.

This so simple, anyone can do it!
1. Gather supplies: Gift bag, scrape cardboard, markers, tape (Washi and clear) and scissors.
2. Cut out a dog house door shape out of the side of the bag.
3. To give the bag structure,  cut out 3 rectangles the size of the bottom of the bag. One is for the bottom of the bag and 2 are for the sides.

4. Use your door shape you cut out from the bag as a template on one of the cardboard pieces (this will go on the door side)
5. Tape the cardboard pieces to the bag, one on the bottom and on on each side.  If needed you can trim the side pieces shorter to fit your bag.  You want to be able to still close the bag with the cardboard sides in it.
6. Use tape to secure the cardboard door.  I used my clear tape first and then covered with the washi tape for a more decorative look.
7. Using your tape and markers decorate the sides of the house.
8. Add a name plate at the door.
9. Tape the top closed.
Add your puppy and you are set!

My kids also love to watch shows about dogs and animals!  We love having Netflix since their are no commercials and it is easy to stream on any device!

Here are some of our favorites this month:
4. Annie*

*This was one of my favorite movies growing up and it was SO FUN to watch it again with my kids!

Inspirational Clothes Pin (DIY)

I wrote this post as part of a paid campaign with Plaid Crafts, Michaels and Blueprint Social. The opinions in this post are my own.
 Who wants to be inspired this year?  Here is an easy way to add some inspiration to the house (or a gift)!  I used some Spring Wood Surfaces (found at Michaels) to create these beautiful clothes pins that will be the perfect for your decor, kitchen magnets or as gift tags.  Here is what you will need to do:

1. Gather Supplies: Paint, Spring Wood Surfaces, Paint brushes and wooden clothes pins, and Hot Glue (not pictured)
2. Paint your Spring Wood Surfaces and let dry.
3. Paint your Clothes pins and let dry.
4. (optional) Add some dimension by dry brushing with a contrasting color.  Simply put a little bit of paint on a dry brush and lightly brush on top, letting the bottom color show through.

5. Hot Glue the Spring Wood Surface to the clothes pin.
