Fairy Tale and Super Hero dress-up round up! {#StreamTeam}

Thank you to Netflix for sponsoring this post!
My kids have been loving to play dress up lately.  Their play times go in phases - some times it's playing with blocks/legos, some times it is coloring or doing puzzles, now it is dressing up and pretending to be in a fairy tale or super hero story.
So I have a round up for you with super easy dress-up DIY's!

For Girls:

For Boys:

We love having Netflix and the fact that there are no commericals is the best!  Our favorite shows to watch this month are:

The new Netflix Original Series: Ever After High:
I have to say that this is a pretty cute show.  It is about the kids of our fairy tale heroes... Apple White is the daughter of Snow White, Ashlyn Ella  is the daughter of Cinderella, Sparrow Hood is the son of Robin Hood and so on.  There is some clever writing in this one!

My son loves the new Richie Rich (Another Netflix Original Series)

It is an updated version of the one that was out when I was a kid and it is pretty cute too.

Totally Easy Stuffed Dog House DIY! {#streamteam}

Thank you to Netflix for sponsoring this post!
My kids are dog lovers.  They love it when we see a dog when we are out and about.  My 1.5 year old L-O-V-E-S puppies.  When we went trick-or-treating for Halloween, he did not even care about the candy, he was looking for a puppy at the door.  But with three young kids, I don't have time for a real dog, so stuffed puppies is what we get at our house.
My kids love to play with their stuffed puppies, they take them on walks, carry them around, feed them.  So, it was time for them to have their own home.

This so simple, anyone can do it!
1. Gather supplies: Gift bag, scrape cardboard, markers, tape (Washi and clear) and scissors.
2. Cut out a dog house door shape out of the side of the bag.
3. To give the bag structure,  cut out 3 rectangles the size of the bottom of the bag. One is for the bottom of the bag and 2 are for the sides.

4. Use your door shape you cut out from the bag as a template on one of the cardboard pieces (this will go on the door side)
5. Tape the cardboard pieces to the bag, one on the bottom and on on each side.  If needed you can trim the side pieces shorter to fit your bag.  You want to be able to still close the bag with the cardboard sides in it.
6. Use tape to secure the cardboard door.  I used my clear tape first and then covered with the washi tape for a more decorative look.
7. Using your tape and markers decorate the sides of the house.
8. Add a name plate at the door.
9. Tape the top closed.
Add your puppy and you are set!

My kids also love to watch shows about dogs and animals!  We love having Netflix since their are no commercials and it is easy to stream on any device!

Here are some of our favorites this month:
4. Annie*

*This was one of my favorite movies growing up and it was SO FUN to watch it again with my kids!

Felt Pumpkin Funny Faces (15 minute Halloween craft) ~Tutorial~

Here is a great Halloween craft that you can do in 15 minutes!  And it works as both Halloween decor AND a toy!  Great for the kiddos!  My Kids love the Funny Faces magnet toys and I knew that they would love this too!

Here is what you will need:
Circle cardboard (We got ours from our Frozen Pizza)
Felt (In a verity of colors but mostly orange, green and black)
Small box
Hot Glue

1. Cut your orange felt circle a little larger then the cardboard circle.  Cut small slits around the circle (about every inch or so)
2. Hot glue the orange felt to the cardboard circle overlapping the slits.

3. Hot glue the small box to the back of the circle.  This makes it stand up and also provides a place for all the face shapes to go.
4. Cut out a steam shape from the green felt and hot glue it to the top.
5. Cut out simple shapes for the pumpkins eyes, mouth, nose, eyebrows, etc.  Keep the shapes super simple like you would see on a pumpkin face.

Test it out to make sure it works. ; )

If you really feel crazy you can add some accessories!  I added a hat, sunglasses, bow, flower and blond hair.

And when you are done all the felt pieces can go right into the box!

Easy Paper Towel Butterfly Craft

This post is sponsored by Viva Vantage and Walmart
but my love for their stretchy towels is all my own!
Here is a super easy kids craft that used things your probably already have: Paper towels and markers!
Also below I put Viva® Vantage Paper Towels to the test when I clean I messy stove top!  Check it out below!

Here is what you will need:
Viva® Vantage Paper Towels
Markers
Pipe Cleaners
Spray bottle

1. Have your kids design their butterfly wings using markers.  Try to get them to cover most of the paper towel with color.

2. Spray the Paper towels with water.  We did ours outside

Here are our designs and how the came out after we sprayed them with water.

3. Fold accordion style, wrap a pipe clean around the middle and puff out the wings.
If you want you can wind the pipe cleaner around a pencil to make fancy antennas.

The Viva® Vantage Paper Towels are Awesome!
I was skeptical that they would live up to all the hype.

So I put it up against my stove top.  Tough, burnt-on stains.  With my other brand of paper towels I could go through 6-10 paper towels and I only used 3 of the Viva® Vantage Paper Towels (it is select-a-size so it is 3 small ones that make 1 big sheet)  and it lasted the whole time.  I was able to rinse it out and reuse it several times.  I also used baking soda and natural cleaner to help too.

And if you have a baby that eats dirt like mine does... you know you need a good paper towel!
