Paper Doily Crafts {#12monthsofMartha}

Here are this months crafts for our 12 Months of Martha posts!  Here is the loot that I got this month!  

It included Martha's new Circle Edge Doily Punch!   I am so excited about this punch because there are so many things you can use them for!  They are going to be available March 2013 at Joann's and Michael's or now at Martha Stewart Crafts

Today I am going to show you 3 easy projects! 

The Circle Edge Doily Punch is easy to use  The Starter kit come with a punch to start with you can pick your size (from 6" to 12") and place your paper on it.  It uses magnets to keep everything in place.  Then you punch and spin, punch and spin...continue all around the circle and you get a beautiful doily! 

Once you have your doilies punched you can do all sorts of fun things with them! 

Project 1:  Easy cute party favor bags

So easy- just use a ziploc baggie and put some treats or small prizes inside.  Fold your paper doily in half {or in this case 2 paper doilies- sizes 8 inches and 6 inches}.  Staple them over the top of the bag and done!  This are great for, little gifts,  birthday parties, showers and weddings! 

Project #2: Paper Doily Garland:

Also so easy!  Fold your doilies in half and either glue or staple them over yarn or ribbon.  Great for seasonal decorating, parties or home decor!

You can also get other punches to make all sorts of fun doilies!  

Project 3: Cards or scrapbooking:

These doilies are so great to add to a card or a scrapbook page!

Jeannine's No Bake Healthy(ish) Cookie Balls

This is our new favorite household snack. My favorite part about it is, when I have an attack of the munchies, just one of these beautiful babies is enough to satisfy my hunger. There is a decent amount of sugar in these (peanut butter, honey, and dried berries), but they are loaded with protein and fiber too. So you be the judge of how healthy they actually are... Clean Bathroom and Kitchen

I hate to clean.  There - I said it.  I am not a neat freak, sometimes I wish I was, but in general I need motivation to get a deep clean in my house.  Most time my motivation comes from having people over.  I keep my house "picked up"  it is not unsanitary, I just need to dust and scrub more often.

Easy Burp Clothes {Tutorial}

I am working with WholePort - they sell a bunch of crafting supplies!  This month they sent me some fun baby print flannel fabric!   So I got to work making some things for our baby boy due April 7th 2013!

First up were Easy cute burp clothes:

Here is what you will need:

Cloth Diapers (I got my 5 pack at target)

Cute soft fabric

Sewing Macine with sewing supplies (like thread, scissior, etc)

1. Cut your fabric so that it is about 1/2 longer then the sids and wide enough so that you can fold it around the end of the cloth diaper.  I make my about 6 inches wide so that it would be a 3 inch wide stripe.

2. Use an iron to press a 1/4 inch fold on all four sides.  This will give a finished edge.

3. Fold in half and pin around the botton of the burp cloth.  Sew on all 4 sides as close to the edge as you can.

4. Repeat for the other side.

Make as many as you want... they make a great baby shower gift! 

I also make a blanket for the crib with the cute fabric and some soft minky.  I just cut out my crib size blanket (I used one I had from before... about 45X60 inches).  Sewed with right sides together leaving an opening to turn right side out.  Then turned it right side out and top sewed all around the edge closing the opening and done! 

I also made a Crinkle Tag blanket!
